Appear is designed for production workflows with clear boundaries around data handling, access, and operational controls.
All visitor classification and response routing happens on Cloudflare Workers at the edge. No customer data is stored on Appear-owned servers. Content processing uses Cloudflare's global network with built-in DDoS protection and TLS termination.
Appear processes only the request metadata and page content required to classify visitors and generate AI-facing responses. We do not collect, store, or process personal data from your website visitors. Origin site content is fetched, processed, and cached — not permanently stored.
All traffic between visitors, the Appear edge layer, and your origin server is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Dashboard access is protected with authentication and encrypted connections.
Dashboard and API access require authenticated sessions. All API endpoints are protected with authentication checks. There is no public unauthenticated access to account data or site configuration.
Internal operational access follows least-privilege principles. Support and engineering access to production systems is role-scoped and logged.
Appear does not require access to your codebase, CMS credentials, hosting panel, or deployment pipeline. The only integration point is a DNS CNAME record.
