Appear runs on Cloudflare Workers at the edge. Each incoming request is classified by user agent, behavior pattern, and known crawler signatures to determine if the visitor is a human browser or an AI system like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini.

Visitor type is determined in under 50ms at the Cloudflare edge using user-agent analysis, IP reputation, and behavioral signals. No origin round-trip required for classification.
Response profiles
